Smoothie making fun at St James Primary in Hull

At Xing Education, we have created a special program for primary schools that ties in the curriculum into a practical product development session designed to bring out the student’s entrepreneurial skills.

We had a great time working with year 6 students from Saint James Primary School in Hull. The students were able to practice the knowledge that they learnt in the class room and use it to discover and develop their enterprise skills. Students learnt about where fruit in the UK is sourced from, what health benefits different fruits provide and looked at model products in order to evaluate and calculate their target markets and possible costs. Students then designed their own products and presented their ideas to the rest of the class, showcasing their slogans, jingles and recipes.
