Sirius business!

Business pitches!

Competition is defined by the Oxford Dictionary as: The activity or condition of striving to gain or win something by defeating or establishing superiority over others.

Now that we’re completely clear on the term, we’d like to stress the importance of competition in business. Competition drives innovation, best practices and competitive advantage.

Competition is an element we like to include in our workshops as it’s a part of everyday life and that the students should encounter and learn to deal with as much as possible.

So it’s essential for us to transmit to the young entrepreneurs we work with that they will always be up against ‘sirius’ competition!

The pupils of Sirius Academy learned all about smoothies, their health benefits and how to make this incredible product. Then, they learned all about business and how to bring to market their smoothie creations. They had to design their smoothies, decide on their production costs and calculate their margins. All to make sure they could open viable smoothie companies. Of course, after learning all the ins and outs of the business, they had to pitch their companies. They all impressed with their presentations!

It was a great day and a great competition. In the end, there had to be a winner and the team “Get into the Smooth” was proclaimed the best smoothie business of the day. However, the truth is that all teams were real stars!
